Jamal El Kassar (picture below) is liscensed to accompany guests in the
town, which can otherwise be a problem due to the Tourist Brigade
(plain-clothes police who arrest local people who try to talk to foreigners).
He can also...
- Arrange shopping trips for carpets, ceramics, materials etc.
- Plan taxi hire, for, for example, day trips to Essauoira or other
places, and trips to the mountains or desert
- Shop for specific requirements one may have, such as
alcohol which is readily available in the New Town before 8pm.
There is the possibilty of self catering, or it is also possible to arrange for
a local chef to prepare lunch or dinner in the house.
